We are delighted and excited to be able to inform you that your clubhouse is ready to re-open.
From Monday 22nd June 2020 GPHC will be open for members. This includes the gymnasium (maximum of 12), squash (maximum of 12), and snooker (maximum of 8), in line with the already opened tennis courts. The Members Bar will be open for members and guests from 4.00pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with meals available on Friday evenings. During the upcoming school holidays, we will have limited bar trading from 4.00pm and no meals will be available (with this to commences on Wednesday 2nd July 2020).
Government Directives from 22 June 2020
The following information includes government directives, which it is important to note, are legally enforceable. The Club does not have any capacity to make exceptions to the guidelines in place and breaches could result in hefty fines. There are on the spot fines of up to $1,652 for individuals and up to $9,913 for businesses and possibly see the Club closed.
Each person entering the Clubhouse via the front door only MUST sign in and out from each location within the Club to ensure we comply with number restrictions within the allocated areas
Social distancing 1.5m must always be observed, and it is important to note under the current directives that, members are not permitted to stand around and chat in the clubhouse.
Staff and Committee of Management will be managing compliance across each area within the Club.
The booking system is available on the website and has two-hour bookings available from 7.00am to 9.00pm daily, members may invite guests. We note that Junior, Pennant and Night Competition tennis is expected to commence during mid-late July and the club will provide members with further details shortly.
The Snooker Room is re-opening for members over 18 years of age using the booking system via the website from Monday 22nd June with a maximum of 8 players session (4 per table). All members to strictly adhere to restriction protocols Snooker Room Procedures

Squash bookings are re-opening for members and guests from Monday 22nd June. Allocation of two (2) players per court with no spectators. It is also important to leave the area as soon as squash game/training has completed. Please bring your own water bottle as water fountain will not be in use.

The Club Gym will re-open from 22nd June with a maximum of 12 persons permitted at any one time. A booking system via the website is available to ensure compliance of 1 person per 4 square metre rules. Bookings essential to avoid disappointment of being denied access.
Patrons must use the booking system available via the website to ensure that no more than 12 people are in the Gym as the gymnasium can only have a maximum of 12 people ie 1 person per 4 square metres rule.
Members must bring their own stretching mat, towel, and water bottle and follow guidelines for hygiene & social distancing including cleaning hands and cleaning machines/equipment before and after use.
Cardio machines will be reduced in number and gloves must be worn when using weights and other gymnasium equipment.
Hospitality – Members Bar and the Sharman Hall area
We will re-open from the 22nd June for Member Functions and Hospitality, for up to 50 patrons per enclosed space.
Every patron must be seated at a table in order to be able to have a drink. Each table will be located at least 1.5 metres away from the next table. Each person entering the Clubhouse Members Bar MUST sign in and out with their name and phone number.
Functions & Events
Subject to compliance with the hospitality directives including social distancing, maximum numbers in dining facilities and maximum numbers per table, dining can be in the form of an organised function for birthdays, wakes, meetings, and conferences etc. All patrons must be able to be seated.

Penalties for Non-Compliance with Directions
Spot checks of venues will be carried out by Victoria Police to ensure compliance with the directions of the Chief Health Officer. and through the courts larger fines may be issued for:
Refusing or failing to comply with the emergency directions
Refusing or failing to comply with a public health risk power direction
Refusing or failing to comply with a direction by the Chief Health Officer to provide information
